Fellow VJ faculty (and Sports Shooter member) Paul Myers and I recently at the Ventura Campus of Brooks about The Getty Center in LA. Each of us for the past several years had independently visited The Getty and shot what we saw and felt about the space and the people around it. Paul and I then decided to collaborate on a show, each showcasing how we each “saw” the Getty.

Greetings from Ventura, Calif., where I am a faculty at Brooks Institute: School of Visual Journalism. My background is all newspapers, both as a shooter and as an editor. In 2003, I gave up the pressures of the newsroom to come teach at Brooks and to take time off for Graduate school. I no longer shoot daily, but I have a camera with me all of the time, just in case. When I do shoot, I specialize in news but do have experience with sports and as you can see by my icon, my dogs are the subjects of my photography most often now.
