Running Under It
One of my “daughters,” Ana Rosa Maldonado, runs under a shallow fly ball during the team's second loss of the series. The loss was at the hands of the team that beat them in the final in 2003, Maryland - District 7. Their first loss was the second game on Day 1 to the local team, Michigan - District 2. Seeing as the participants for the series championship game are the top two teams after the round-robin play-offs, things weren't looking good for Puerto this year. They were 2-2 in the play-offs after four of their eight games.
