The nine teams from the mainland US, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Europe were from Little League's oldest age softball division: Big League. The girls ranged in age from 16 to 18. Many of the 18-year-old players will be appearing on softball diamonds at colleges around the US on scholarship this school year.
