Comments | [07/06/03] I wish that the nikon pro digitals had the ergonomic feel of the F100 with the MB15 on it. I have had my F100 for almost 2 years now and everyhting about it has been great. Fast, comfortable and as accurate as anything I have used in the focus and metering departments.

Comments | [11/27/02] This is the only AF body I own and it is fantastic. With the grip, balance is improved substantially with larger glass, I own the 80-200 AFd and w/o the grip, it’s not nearly as easy to handhold, a lot more strain on my poor right hand. I cannot remember the last time I could even find my battery holster for use without the grip. The flash system works well, and using TTL at night games with the sb-80 works pretty well at all distances. Not as foolable as TTL is on my neighbors N90 at varying long distances (night soccer). All my glass is AF and I usually shoot C-focus, single shot and I can get about 20-25 rolls of 36 out of one set of Kirkland Brand AAs. Be sure to have high-power rechargeable batteries and some hand warmers if you want to use the 80-400VR with the F100. I would get like 10 shots into a roll on regular AAs and I would have to turn it off then on again to get it to use more juice out of the batteries.

Comments | [06/25/02] I use one of these as my film body but it rarely comes out of the bag. Great to use and very comfortable in the hand. All functions work well and as usual it works very well with Nikon flashes. I use it combined with the vertical grip which makes it very similar to using/holding D1/H/X. My only gripe is the immense drain on AA batteries. I have come from an EOS 3 film body which easily got 30 rolls from a set of batts whereas this camera only gets 5-10 from the six batts in the grip.
