What is this?
The images within this section are contributed by our members, and show a bit of the fun side of our community. Images here are more light-hearted and personal than what would normally be found within a member's porfolio page. So explore this section, and please please please don't take yourself too seriously all the time. It isn't healthy.

Photo copyright The Register-Guard
Caption: Our summer intern Ivar Vong tries out an oldie but goodie, a 600mm Nikkor f5.6 telephoto lens that has been in the Register-Guard pool since at least the late 60s. The thing is still in great shape, but a beast. The focus is so stiff you practically need a channel lock to turn the ring. I think the best strategy to actually USE it would be to set the focus and wait for the action to run through the plane.
