VII Photo Agency conducts several workshops all over the world throughout the calendar year, including their Annual VII Seminar in April at Tufts University in Medford, Mass.
Workshops/Seminars Include:
The Annual VII Seminar
- Featuring presentations of the work of all current members of VII, and panel discussions addressing current issues in photojournalism. Held at Tufts University in Boston.
Residential Workshops in France with Gary Knight
- A week long workshop focusing on story telling with photography. Small groups of students working intimately with Gary Knight in a farmhouse in Provence, France and the region where Knight lives.
VII Features Workshops in Indonesia with John Stanmeyer and Gary Knight
- Selected students will immerse themself in a one-week workshop designed to teach feature essay pictures and the ethics of photojournalism.
Assignment in Indochina with Gary Knight and Antonin Kratochvil
- An opportunity to work with some of the photographers of VII in Cambodia. The photographers will share their understanding of working in an unfamiliar country with an unfamiliar language to produce a photo essay in a visually rich environment.
Israel/Palestine with Gary Knight
- A chance to produce an assignment with Gary Knight in the holy land.
India with Gary Knight
- An opportunity to work on assignment with Gary Knight in Kashmir.
