Comments | [02/03/05] I can only echo what the Todd, Jan and Tom have added here. "Intense Moments" was an experience of a lifetime, and one I'll never forget. I'll never forget out shooting mountain bikers in a snow storm, shooting my first pro soccer and arena football events with credentials, Peter's very hard work, settin up our shoots, reviewing virtually ALL our images and providing critique and feedback were invaluable in making the workshop a success for me. I will also remember how all the terrific WWA staff worked tirelessly to archive our images, how Grant gave us a terrific lighting workshop, and meeting and enjoying our time together with all my fellow workshop partiticipants. The level of talent and skills in the workshop participants was impressive, and it was fun and educational for everyone to review each other's portfolios. Peter is a terrific guy, very professional and accessible, with a great sense of humor to add fun to our adventures. I use the things he taught us daily in my work, and my photography is the better for it ("Pay attention to your framing!")

Comments | [02/03/05] What a great program! This workshop is probably as close to the real thing as it gets. Actually go out on assignment and shoot professional sports next to one of the greatest out there. One of the best aspects is that Peter is very open and available to all of the participants. Also, the equipment that CANON provides is a great way to try some stuff in real life situations, really helped me determine what my next purchases needed to be, and what I had that works well. Program is loose enough that you can pretty much follow your own program, for instance I spend alot of time working with remotes. Would reccomend this workshop to any aspiring or professional sports shooter.

Comments | [02/02/05] WOW! That is really all that needs to be said about Peter Read Miller's workshop. But I can't stop at that. Between the 4 days of shooting, Peter's critiques, his one on one portfolio review, great stories and his assistants, I learned more in that time than I have in the past 5 years. We were taught everything from how to light a basketball court to how to cope while shooting mountain bikers in a snowstorm. The football, track and soccer were great experiences as well. To learn from a master of light is an unbelievable experience. The chance to check out Peter’s portfolio was worth the price of admission all by itself. And the camaraderie with the other participants (which ranged from people making a good living in photography to people that were just starting out) made it an experience of a lifetime. Since attending this workshop, I have had people in the industry comment that my work has much improved. You can’t put a price on that. I am rating this workshop at a 9 only because nothing is perfect. If I could give it a 9.9 I would. Jan Langsner Proud participant of the 2004 workshop.

Comments | [02/02/05] Peters workshop was great fun I was surrounded by people who love sports photography. In addition the workshop is in Denver, which is a spectacular city. His assistants and the Canon representatives were top notch. Peters one on one portfolio reviews and daily critiques were very beneficial and exciting. I saw Peter this last football season and he remembered my name and we had a nice conversation before the Texans vs.Colts game. I would highly recommend the workshop. Sincerely, Thomas B.
