Comments | [12/19/05] Been to it four years in a row, first as a student looking for a job and this year as a working pro for the first time. Every year, I come back with better shots. From looking at examples of some of the best work in the field and getting port critiqes to small group sessions and breakout forums, the APS is great. It acts like a battery recharger. I come out fresh and full of ideas and inspiration. Recommended to anyone, students or pros, especially for the price!

Comments | [10/21/02] The Friday workshops seem to get better every year (and more crowded, too). I think of this seminar as being sort of like my annual photo-j "booster shot."

Comments | [10/14/02] I'll throw in my vote for this workshop, I've been to it almost every year since I started shooting in 1998, and I too sat in on one of Bert's workshops, it's a great place to learn, and I must admit being from Atlanta I'm kinda biased, b/c it's a homecoming for me every year and I get to see old friends and family, but it's a great workshop.

Comments | [10/08/02] I've attended this workshop for the past three years and it just keeps getting better. In fact, I would've never found out about SportsShooter if I hadn't seen Bert there two years ago. If you're just starting out or have been around for a while, there is something for everybody at this one. And the contest is really something special, but the judging can be brutal. I can't wait for December.

Comments | [10/04/02] In the two years I've attended, I am constantly amazed at the talent this seminar attracts. The Friday seminars are well worth attending, with Bert, Allan Detrich and Reed Hoffman just a few that continue to stick in my memory. The saturday speakers are well thought out and present some amazing work, some that will make even the most callous choke up. Add to it clean and checks from Canon or Nikon, a visit to Jeff Snyder from Penn Camera, great door prizes, portfolio reviews and last year, a last minute late night seminar from Vince Laforet. The organizers make a seminar and contest that is a top notch experience for both professionals AND students. I'd rate the experience right up there with the luau...a must go!
