William Neil outside of the St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church in Holmdel, New Jersey during the funeral services on March 29, 2008. Staff Sgt. Neil, a 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) paratrooper, whose parents William R. and Patricia Neil reside in Holmdel, was killed in action by an improvised explosive device on March 22, 2008 in Sperwan Ghar, Afghanistan. He was assigned to Company C, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne).
