Troutman 2005 || Salinas, CA - 7/10/05 – A field of 21 MotoGP riders led by polesitter Nicky Hayden roar up the main straight at the start of Sunday’s race. Hayden would go on to win the 32 lap, 115 km battle in just over 46 minutes after establishing a two second lead over the chasing Valentino Rossi in the first part of the race. “I can honestly say this is a dream come true for me,” said Hayden after his first MotoGP win. “Hopefully it can be the start of bigger things from now on.”
