Despite quick-dry cement patches, barrier modifications and a variety of racing lines used by the drivers through these sections, there was no avoiding getting airborne over the tracks at speeds over 150 mph. "The track is so tight and so slippery with virtually no place to overtake," he observed afterwards. Wilson and his team rallied to a fourth place finish.
