Troutman 2006 || Salinas, CA - 3/10/06 – Series newcomer Georgio Mondini of Team Switzerland tries to fend off Team France’s Nicolas Lapierre during the weather-delayed first practice. It was a long weekend for Mondini. “I had terrible luck on my A1 debut,” he said. “It was worse than I ever could have imagined. But now we take a look into the future and try to fight back in Shanghai at the season final.” Switzerland finished second in the championship after several mistakes by Mondini, including a drive-through penalty in the sprint and stalling the engine on his pit stop in the feature race.
