Three-wheelin' Stephen

Troutman 2006 || Salinas, CA - 3/11/06 – Stephen Simpson three-wheels the Team South Africa car around the circuit. “I made a mistake,” he said after the feature race. “I was on the radio to my pit; I was worried that we had lost power because I was passed very easily by Netherlands and Canada on my out lap after the pit stop and I used a bit more of the curb than usual as I exited Turn 6 and it pulled me into the tire wall. End of race. It was very wet on the outside of the curb and we were all trying to avoid the wet area. A disappointing finish to what has been a most enjoyable weekend at a tough but great circuit. It was a wonderful experience to drive here.”
