Second Place: "Orozco"
Brendan Sullivan/Omaha World-Herald | A horse named Orozco with the Omaha Police Department’s mounted patrol unit is silhouetted in front of an American and Nebraska flag while during the Holiday of Horses event at the Omaha Police Department Mounted Patrol Facility in Omaha, Nebraska, on Saturday, December 22, 2018. The horse is named after officer Kerrie Orozco, 29, who was fatally shot May 20, 2015. Hector Orozco, the husband of late Omaha Police Officer Kerrie Orozco, donated the family’s horse to the Omaha Police Department’s mounted patrol unit. After more than a year of training, the horse, now named Orozco, was introduced on Thursday, November 29, 2018 as the newest member of the unit. Copyright: Brendan Sullivan/Omaha World-Herald
