Lane County at 150
Winter's scouring tides conspire to unearth the "Bella", cargo ship forever entombed after she ran agrounf trying to enter the story Siuslaw River in 1906. At 121-feet long, she was the biggest three-masted schooner ever built on the Siuslaw, where her grave is a testament to Lane County's shipping glory days of a century ago. "Never more sailor, Shalt thou be Tossed on the wind-ridden Restless Sea." --Walter de la Mare; from the poem, Never More Sailor"
