Mark Stewart of Howitzer Battery, 2nd Squadron, tries in vain to make a phone call to his wife from a phone at Camp Victory in Kuwait April 17, 2003. Stewart received word from the Red Cross late on the previous night that his wife had given birth to their first child. Stewart was unable to make a connection, and was planning to try a different phone at the Camp later, if he could get permission.
