Camp Gordon, originally built in the 1940's, was marketed as a summer getaway for people with means. Now dilapidated, Camp Gordon is home to many who cannot afford to live elsewhere. Although the crime rate in Camp Gordon has decreased, it still carries a reputation as a high crime area, and it's future is uncertain as the property value in the area continues to rise.
