A Hollow Ending: Cornell senior Danny Pearlstein reacts to an excavator removing a tree from Redbud Woods on the morning of July 20, 2005 at the conclusion of the Redbud controversy. Pearlstein and the seven other protestors who were arrested at Day Hall for the sit-down protest were later sentenced to 25 hours of community service for trespassing. A majority of the trees were removed for the new parking lot, but Cornell agreed to keep some of the trees in place.
