An Agreement and an Audience With the President: Cornell University President Hunter Rawlings looks up at Cornell junior Lynn Feeley after she signed an agreement ending the Redbud Woods protest Monday afternoon, July 17, 2005 while she still wears the chains she used in the standoff. Cornell University Vice President Susan Murphy, who helped create the agreement to end the standoff, stands second from left. Cornell agreed to a long list of future concessions that could make the university's transportation system more sustainable and strengthen Cornell's relationship with the community — two areas of the biggest concern for many protesters.
