A Tense Standoff: David Yeh, Cornell University Registrar, looks towards the students blocking the police cars in front of Day Hall by the same doorway Pearlstein was carried from an hour earlier. Three students involved in the sit-down protest inside the Cornell president’s office wait with police officers inside. A sign on the door states that a meeting is cancelled and “SORRY FOR THE INCONVIENCE”. Day Hall is home to the administrative offices of Cornell University and its business was disrupted for most of the day April 28, 2005.
