Looking For an Audience: Beginning in April 2005 Cornell University students protested the proposed parking lot outside the Cornell president’s office in Day Hall. The president, who is involved in raising an average of $1 million a day to add to Cornell’s $3 billon endowment, ignored the students’ protests for several weeks. On April 13, 2005, Cornell junior and “Red Buddy” Patrick Young looks up at the office of Cornell University President Jeffrey Lehman while other students yell the president's name during a protest for Redbud Woods. Lehman did not meet with the students that day.
